12th Annual Housekeeping Olympics
The Housekeeping Olympics returns Thursday, June 3, 2027, for the 12th Annual Spring Games at the Fenlands Banff Recreation Centre. Celebrating housekeeping professionals from across Banff & Lake Louise, this one-of-a-kind community gathering is the largest employee recognition event in Banff National Park.
Housekeeping is the backbone of our tourism-based destination, regardless of sector. The housekeeping workforce is the heart-of-the-house in all hotels, ensuring visitors who eat in our restaurants, shop in our stores, ride our transportation and enjoy their activities have a clean, comfortable place to stay.

The 12th Annual Banff Lake Louise Housekeeping Olympics will take place on Thursday, June 3, 2027 at the Fenlands Recreation Centre in Banff.
BLLHA Member Properties are eligible to enter a maximum of two teams with eight (8) participants and up to two (2) alternatives. Register your team below to compete for great prizes and bragging rights! A full roster is not required for sign-up, only team captain information is required for registration.
In addition, teams are required to designate at least one volunteer (not a competitor) to be available for the duration of the event (4:30 – 9:30 pm). This volunteer will be assigned tasks as necessary by event organizers.

The Banff Lake Louise Housekeeping Olympics is powered by volunteers. Volunteers receive a free BBQ dinner and very cool T-shirt. There are many volunteer opportunities available. Learn more about the various duties available.

Get ready for the 2027 Games!
The Housekeeping Olympics consists of six distinct and hilarious events where hotel teams from across Banff and Lake Louise compete against each other for a cumulative total score to win the games. Events include the bed-making challenge, vacuum race, buffer-pad toss, towel folding competition, mop race, and towel decorating competition.

- 5:00 – 6:30 p.m. Participant BBQ
- 6:45 p.m. Opening Ceremonies & Parade of Athletes
- 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. Games
- 9:15 p.m. Awards Ceremony
