The Banff & Lake Louise Hospitality Association is offering bursaries of up to $500 each in support of individuals pursuing career development opportunities in the tourism and hospitality industry. Deadline September 30, 2026.

BLLHA Tourism & Hospitality Bursary Program

2026 Intake Now Open for Bursaries up to $500. 

Investing in people is at the heart of a strong and sustainable tourism industry and BLLHA is proud to support that growth. The 2026 intake for the Tourism & Hospitality Bursary Program is now open, offering up to $500 to help individuals advance their skills and careers in Banff and Lake Louise’s hospitality sector. Whether you’re building on existing experience or taking the next step in your professional journey, this bursary program is designed to make learning more accessible and achievable.

Each bursary will be awarded to a maximum of $500. Bursaries will be considered and awarded on a first-come, first-served basis, while funds allow. Fall application deadline September 30, 2026.

Who can apply?

  • Anyone employed by a BLLHA member business in good standing
  • Applicants must have successfully completed their 3-month probationary period with their current employer

How to apply

  • Complete the application form & have your manager sign-off
  • Email your application to info@bllha.ca
  • All criteria must be met in order for an application to be considered.

Once approved, recipients will need to provide proof of course completion prior to funds being disbursed. Once proof of completion is received, BLLHA will issue a cheque directly to the recipient.

Approved programs/courses

Courses must be in line with hospitality and tourism curriculum examples, but do not need to be undergrad or apprentice level (i.e. a type of course that would be offered at a tourism and hospitality school and would reasonably support a career path within tourism.) Courses may be in-person or online.
